Cinturato™ Gravel M is the specific tire for Gravel use for mixed terrain with variable bottom. The tread is made with blocks of medium height and spacing to ensure excellent performance on a wide range of terrains. The special SpeedGrip Compound adds characteristics of mechanical resistance and chemical grip without reducing smoothness in both dry and wet conditions, as well as guaranteeing a high level of puncture protection. Cinturato™ Gravel M is the ideal choice for those who face challenging gravel routes with a lot of difference in height and aggressive surfaces, which is why it is almost always the model ridden by our athletes in Gravel races and during solo adventures. Cinturato Gravel M is compatible with hookless rims respecting the ETRTO inflation limit of 5bar/72.5psi
Specific formulation for Gravel, born from Pirelli's experience in the world of rallies where the characteristics of smoothness on asphalt and grip on dirt roads are crucial. This compound uses the same polymer matrix as the MTB SmartGrip Compound, but improves its smoothness. Gravel use requires greater speed and on/off-road versatility, which is why Pirelli technicians have oriented the properties of the compound towards better energy efficiency, allowing excellent performance on dirt terrain and high grip on both dry and wet surfaces. STRUCTURE
With a combination of the know-how developed for reinforced road structures and the experience gained in MTB, the Pirelli technicians have created a Gravel construction which relies both on the mechanical resistance of the compound itself and on a layer of high resistance to cut that protects the carcass from bead to bead. While punctures on the road mainly occur due to the penetration of sharp objects, off-road more frequently due to stones or debris on the side of the tyre. For this reason the textile material used for the TechWALL construction is particularly resistant to cuts, in order to guarantee a better resistance of the whole structure. The 120tpi tubeless-ready casing guarantees an optimal riding feeling without the risk of forced stops thanks to the use of specific anti-cut fabrics.
