Since 2018, the name ALTO has been part of our range of road bikes. Translated from Italian / Spanish, ALTO means “high” and with the ALTO bike you will stand out above the rest. Coinciding with our third participation in the Tour de France, we also launched the third new edition of the REVELATOR ALTO.
The development was based on feedback from our professional teams and incorporated experience gained on the world's most challenging tracks. In addition, the new ALTO frame underwent the most rigorous testing period in KTM's history. Pre-series prototypes were already sent to the Hell of the North and had to prove their worth on the cobblestones of Paris-Roubaix. At the same time, aerodynamics were perfected in the wind tunnel.
The final values confirm both aspects: excellent climbing capabilities of the frame and reduced aerodynamic drag. On his first ride with the new ALTO, Frenchman Pierre Rolland immediately claimed the polka dot jersey for best climber at the Critérium du Dauphiné.
The journey of the first production frames started in Mattighofen, passing through Copenhagen, to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The frames used by the Tour de France professionals are now ready for you, available in different model variations.
