The choice of tires determines the comfort and grip of the wheel but also influences the aerodynamics and the design of the frame. To design the frame taking into account aerodynamics, it is necessary to know the REAL measurements of the tires. Not those reported on the label, but the actual ones. REALFAST aerodynamics means this: reality, not theory.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTesting and developing a bicycle based on reality is not easy because the dimensions and shape of the tires depend on the rim used, the pressure, and also the precision of the measurements declared by the manufacturer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe therefore carried out hundreds of tests and measurements to know the real dimensions of the tires (which we define WAM -\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eWidth As Measured\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eand RAM -\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eRadius As Measured\u003c\/em\u003e), and we finally used them to design the frame.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Primo2 is designed to accommodate road, cyclocross, and gravel tires up to 45mm WAM. The 50x75mm dimensions with the truncated rear section of the Sqaero profile are the ideal solution not only to provide optimal rigidity to the structure but above all to guide the airflow coming from a wide front wheel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDeveloping a full airfoil profile for the downtube starting from a width of 50mm, necessary to give continuity to the flow coming from the front wheel, would require a profile height of at least 150-200mm, a factor that would unfavorably increase surface resistance.
